3 BENEFITS OF WORKING REMOTELY

You may be on the fence when it comes to deciding if you would rather work from home or work on-site. After doing both for many years I can agree there are pros and cons to both. You just need to find the best option for yourself. Here are some great reasons to work from home remotely.

1. NO MORE COMMUTE: This can be such a saving grace for those who want to cut back on costs or those who do not have car. The average cost monthly for gasoline to and from one's job can be anywhere from $50 to $150+ depending on the amount of stop/go traffic or far mileage. Being able to cut costs is amazing but also with a lack of commute you will be able to save time. Instead of having to wake up earlier to get ready and prepare for the day you will have the luxury of sleeping in later and minimizing the time it takes to get ready.

2. AUTONOMY: For those who want something different everyday and crave new routines work from home roles are perfect. Most days will be different depending on the role and this will give you the flexibility to change your schedules as needed. There is also flexibility to stay in your comfortable clothes and take the time to get yourself comfortable and cozy. With the exception of jobs that will require you to be on the phone (for obvious reason) you should be able to play light noise in the background such as music, podcasts, or TV show.

3. PRODUCTIVITY: If you're anything like me you find yourself far more productive when you're given a list of tasks or told what to do and can just thrive doing it without the watchful eye of others. Studies have shown that when people can be in their own environment where they feel fully comfortable they will be more productive in meeting deadlines and completing their tasks. Work from home roles offer this opportunity because you're able to work within your own comfort zones.

Hopefully after reading this you will be able to decide if you're more comfortable working remotely and starting your work from home journey or if you would enjoy working on-site.
